 An autumnal happiness The autumn breeze made a promise of innocence Before the gale whisked away it's gold turned leaves It spoke of distant lands under an auburn sky And of an amber aura  It offered with outstretched hands  An opportunity to reminisce in the memories of the past To bask in the glory of vermilion hues To behold the beauty of the vintage sky To relive the era of timeless moments To wander those wondrous moonlight paths To gaze upon the eternal stars To relive that autumnal happiness But just as all things good and jolly It must end promising to return The wheel had turned for the nonce only to come full circle again And so began the journey of the golden autumn to promised lands both young and old Dark and bright; those forgotten and legendary Those near and far  To bestow it's copper effervescence on them just as it had on ours The autumn breeze left wisdom in its wake It whispered fondly the secret of life To leave be what once was  And cheris...

  "Why?" , they ask Why do you endure? Why do you abide? Why? Why do you restore? Why do you forgive? Why? Why do you choose to heal when you can destroy? Why do you shelter those who wronged you? Why? Why have you never seized what has always rightfully been yours? Why have you never demanded the love you deserve? I endure because it makes me stronger and them weak I abide because I choose to I restore because I am not aloof to the pain of being destroyed I forgive because I know the burden of not being pardoned , one carries for my own shoulders are still sore from being crushed under the enormous weight of undeserved guilt I heal for  there once was a time when I too battled my thoughts and sought a remedy to soothe the searing hot needles that jabbed my skin  I shelter because I am no stranger to homeless nights and teeth rattling winters I have bathed in bone soaking rains and warmed in the heat of the scorching sun I have offered my luxuries what thou...
