Thy kingdom

 Thy kingdom

Drat! Said the king
Square faced and broad shouldered
Frowning upon his gilded throne
What hath become of respect? And of loyalty to the king?
Oh sire! Cried the courtier cowering
The kingdom shuddered when the king roared
But what of thy promise to thy people?
What of the priest's holy proclamation
The palace shuddered
And lightning struck!
What of thy land's reverence
And dignity of thy empire
The storm raged
And the fear rose
And lo!
Thunderous was the king's face
His wrath driving his very life force
His blood simmering and mask shattering
'let this imbecile be put to death!'
Roared the king
No minstrel shall recite his praises
And so the guards siezed ahold of him
And dragged him out of the throne room
He spat on the king
And laughed mirthlessly
Perplexed, the king started-
The man beheld him with a gaze of loathing
'And so fell the angel
The idol in thy temple
Falling from grace
Enthused with pride
And ensuing bloodbath
How he wrecked his fate
And became the satanic fallen angel!
Lucifer ; they called him
One who heralded dawn
He who In defiance became
The most demonic of them all!
Such will be thy remeberance oh king!
The king who brought upon his people
None but eternal doom
None but eternal doom'
And then he breathed his last!
As a hapless courtier
Now an honoured warrior of truth
And integrity
Finally lightning forked through the sky
Setting ablaze the horizon
And striking the king
And the storm subsided as he died
An excruciating miserable death
Lifting the kingdom out of darkness
Little did the people know
Bloody was the beginning of a tranquil day
