The difference a pure heart can make.....

One morning,I saw a little girl not more than four years of age, tending to something wrapped in a cloth with utmost care. With a closer look,I speculated that it was a little puppy she was nursing. Soon another girl a little older than her came running towards her with some bandaids. They both fussed around with the first aid kit for a while before looking quite satisfied with their work.    Once I was certain they were finished, I approached them. I asked them what they were doing and why they were doing it. They enlightened me about an unfortunate incident during which the little puppy had suffered a deep gash on its right hind limb. As to why the girls were helping it was still a mystery to me. They quenched my curiosity by saying,"We noticed that no one payed much heed to the wounded animal;so, we decided to take matters into our own hands. These days people are no too concerned about animals and they cannot communicate their sufferings and emotions like we can.... So w...

The Importance To Preserve Art

Image
The Importance to preserve ART   For some, art is not merely a hobby, it is a way of life! Art is an expression of thought;it reflects one's personality, more specifically - the artists.  Every region and country has its own unique art forms in which the artists there specialise. Art showcases the diversity of a region highlighting its distinctive features. An artist's mind is a pandora of creativity and a corncupia of ideas. In ancient times, people had great respect for artisans and highly revered them. In today's world, where technology is advancing at a rapid speed, people seem to have forgotten the importance of art and their respect for its keepers. Artists are in the true sense the protectors of art. Without them,we would not have masterpieces life ' Mona Lisa' and many more; and the world would know no colours that make it intriguing. 'Guernica' by Pablo Picasso gives us such an important lesson and makes us think twice about the consequences of w...

Can there be happiness without pain?

Image
Some say that life is full of pain, that life offers more pain than happiness. In some cases, the amount of happiness people get is meager, in others- it is almost negligible. We get very little happiness alongside pain; so we value its every bit. Pain on their hand , is available everywhere in abundance, so we don't even bother to speculate its vitality. Without pain, we would not find ,the little things that make us smile, extraordinary; the acts and deeds that make us happy and kindle in our hearts a spark of hope, endearing.    Imagine happiness is light and pain is darkness. Imagine that we live in a world full of light, a place that alienates darkness, one that knows no pain, we would be swallowed into a vortex of blinding light and deadening time and would be left with a monotonous life.  If happiness is the only emotion we knew, we would be emotionless, placid and passive. We would lose all ability to be human, to feel. Everything in life happens ...

The truth about intelligence and humanity....

Intelligence and humanity they say is what distinguishes humans from animals. Now what is humanity? Humanity in simple terms is living together in harmony and helping those in need. It is nowhere specified in the manifesto of humanity that help is only needed and important if the one seeking it is human.    Just as it us not in our hands to decide whether the earth should take 365 days to revolve around the sun or 3065; it is nowhere in our area of expertise to decide who lives and who doesn't, who should be helped and who should be deprived of it when in need. But what we can do is provide help whenever we can and ease another life an aching.    Who are we? How did we come to be? We came into existence because apes evolved. We are merely a a species that responded better to the conditions handed down to man,not created by man in comparison to others. We are more intelligent as compared to other animals. What is intellect? It is the ability to react ...

Fate....

Call it god, destiny or fate; in the end all of our different cultures are after all tributaries to the mighty ocean of the belief that the energy that nurtures our very being is out there and is watching over us always. It is this faith that keeps us alive! - Ananyaa Joshi

Insights......

The World Today   In these pressing times of the covid 19 outbreak, which is a world wide pandemic,it is important that we help one another in every possible way.It is practically not possible and logically inadvisable to offer assistance by actually meeting the infected persons to provide any kind of mortal relief....   This is a time when nature puts to test the human virtues that we initially preserved. It is a devastating picture that comes to mind when we think of what has become now of these noble ideals that once defined humanity! We are a race that originally believed in helping each other and establishing symbiotic behaviour towards our own.We thought ourselves to be selfless and self effacing ; but it turns out that we are not nearly as modest as we thought ourselves to be..... We are not dauntless or insusceptible  and we must learn to accept and embrace that. We need to slow down in our hurry,in our haste to travel to galaxies far away in search of safe hav...
